Event Details

Maker Summer Camp 2019 will help students build a foundation of STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) while focusing on hands-on, open-ended design projects that help hone creativity, communication, and teamwork. Each week we will use a variety of tools at our makerspace such as 3D printers, laser cutters, 3D scanners, virtual reality devices, no-solder circuits, programmable electronics, and more to achieve maximum learning and fun.

We kick off our camp with Mission to Mars, a 4-day camp is designed students ages 7-13 with the desire to learn about the past, present, and future of space travel. In 2050, Earth as we know it is no longer able to sustain human or animal life, so we must venture beyond our planet in search of a new home.

Day 1 – Aerodynamics and rocketry

Day 2 – Scouting new terrains/Rovers, Robots, and Drones

Day 3 – Sustaining future life and creating new ecosystems

Day 4 –Designing future cities, and final presentations

Student fee is $140 per week in a small classroom learning environment. Tuesday to Friday from 10a to 2p daily. Lunch is provided.
