Event Details

Founded by Mark Cuban in 2019, the AI Bootcamps Initiative has hosted multiple free camps teaching AI to public school students in Dallas, Texas. This year, the Foundation will be hosting five bootcamps for students across the country. Fab Lab is our hosting site in El Paso, Texas.

Our camps are introductory and accessible to any student with an interest in technology. Students do not need any familiarity with computer science or programming to attend.

Our curriculum teaches both concepts and skills. Over the course of five half-days, students learn what AI is and isn’t, where they already interact with AI in their own lives, the ethical implications of AI systems, and much more. Students also learn how to use Microsoft’s cloud computing tools to build their own AI applications.

This session will be led by Topic Leader Leslie Sosa, Microsoft XBOX Intern and CS Student at UTEP.
