Event Details

Our weekly STE(A)M-focused summer camps are for ages 8-13, combining fun and learning with an unforgettable experience. The camps teach the kids to think and work like real scientists, engineers, developers and creative designers. Our campers get to work on cool projects, hands-on activities, engage in fun and developing real-world products and digital creation.

Week 1: Science of Fun

Do you love games? If yes, you might also like to learn how games are made—from virtual 360 environments to character designing. We will use 3D scanning, 3D modeling, and 3D printing technologies to create our very own 3D avatar. Let’s use Scratch programming to design a simple game using modular coding blocks. In this week-long camp, we will experience new technologies and platforms for gaming such as augmented reality and virtual reality to explore what the game interface of the future would look like.

Topics to be covered: Game Design, 3D Scanning, 3D Modeling, 3D Printing, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Storytelling
