About Our Keynote Speaker
An advocate for immersive, inclusive game-based learning, Laylah serves as the Senior Program Manager for Minecraft Education for Microsoft. She leads strategy and content development for computer science, cybersecurity, and esports, including initiatives like Minecraft’s Hour of Code.
Laylah pioneered Minecraft Esports and the Microsoft Esports Teacher Academy, fostering a global community of credentialed esports educators. Previously, she directed enterprise efforts at LEGO Education and played a key role in expanding the North America Scholastic Esports Federation internationally with the U.S. Department of State.
With 16 years of experience as a STEM educator and school administrator in Miami, and a mother of children with ASD, Laylah prioritizes equity and inclusion. She holds a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship and is a University of Virginia graduate.
